acres of beautiful sands. |

There's an infinite variety of countryside and
landscapes for cyclists to enjoy as there are dedicated bike routes
taking in seashore, marshes, woodland and farmland. Rye Windmill can provide secure overnight storage for bikes.

Rye Nature reserve, a five minute drive from The
Windmill, is a great attraction for bird watchers. Species such as the
Common Sandwich and Little Tern as well as the Ringed Plover and Red
Shank are just some of the regular nesting birds. And why not enjoy
watching other species from the comfort of one of the Windmill's
bedrooms. A Kingfisher can often be seen flying up and down the River
Tillingham.

There are at least twelve golf courses all within
easy reach of Rye offering rounds to suit all standards and pockets. Among
them are some of the best clubs in the country including Littlestone, Cooden
Beach, Chart Hills and Hemstead Forest. Even some favourite French courses
are accessible as there are regular flights to Le Touquet from Lydd
airport.
